Six categories cover the whole hot tub cleaning and water-care routine. We carry Leisure Time, Leisure Water, and Clearwater brands at the showroom. If we do not have something on the shelf, we can usually order it within a few business days.
Sanitizers kill bacteria and keep your water safe. Bromine is the most popular choice for hot tubs because it stays stable at high temperatures.
Balanced water protects your equipment, prevents corrosion and scaling, and lets sanitizers work at full effectiveness.
Weekly hot tub shock removes combined chloramines, clears cloudiness, and keeps your water fresh between normal chemical routines.
Targeted treatments for specific issues like foam buildup, cloudy water, metal staining, and ring lines.
A clean filter is the most important part of water care. Monthly spraying and quarterly soaking extends filter life two to three times over.
Everything for a fresh fill, a seasonal drain, or a full system decontamination, bundled for convenience.
A clean filter does most of the heavy lifting in keeping water clear. The right hot tub filter cleaner extends cartridge life two to three times over and reduces sanitizer demand at the same time. Three products cover the routine:
Not sure which cleaner or cartridge you need? Bring your spent filter to the showroom and we can match the fitment in person, or call (905) 769-8585 with the brand and model of your tub.
The chemicals shelf is one part of what we keep on hand for owners. We also stock the accessories that round out a routine, plus the practical items that make the spa easier to live with day to day.
Inventory rotates. Specific items, sizes, and brands are confirmed at the showroom. Looking for something we do not have on the shelf? We can usually order it within a few business days.
Roughly 15 to 20 minutes a week of consistent care. The routine below shows the products you will reach for at each cadence. For the full service workflow, see our maintenance service.
Hot tub cleanliness is mostly about water chemistry plus a handful of physical surfaces. Hot tub filtration is the second layer: even the best chemistry will struggle if a tired filter cannot move debris out of the water. The two work together, and both are addressable with shelf products.
Practical routine for a clean, well-filtered tub:
We do not publish exact dosing on this page on purpose. Correct dosing depends on tub size, current readings, sanitizer system, and bather load. Test first, dose second, re-test third. Never mix two chemicals at once or combine products in the same scoop. Each product goes in by itself, with the pump running, on its own cycle.
Free in-store water testing is the easiest way to keep a hot tub in balance without guesswork. Bring 500 ml of water from your tub, drawn from elbow-depth (not from the surface), in any clean container. We run a multi-panel test, print the results, and walk you through what to add and in what order. The whole visit takes a few minutes and there is no appointment required.

Both options work. Many of our customers buy supplies from the showroom, drop in for free water testing, and handle the routine themselves. Others prefer to outsource the whole thing. There is no wrong answer.
Buying chemicals from us makes sense when:
Booking maintenance service makes sense when:
If your water issues turn out to be hardware (recurring error codes, low jet pressure, leaks, heater problems), see our repair service. Chemistry alone will not fix a failing pump or a tripped GFCI. Shopping for a new tub or accessories instead? Browse our hot tub lineup, see our delivery service, or read our buying guide for the full picture. For detailed water-chemistry troubleshooting (alkalinity, pH, sanitizer choice, cloudy water), see our hot tub water chemistry guide. Choosing between sanitizer systems? Our bromine vs chlorine hot tub guide covers that decision in detail. Stuck on cloudy water specifically? Our cloudy hot tub water guide walks through the full diagnosis sequence. This page stays focused on what you can buy and bring home.
Hot Tubs Hamilton has been serving the GTA west since 2018. The same team that delivers, installs, repairs, and maintains spas across the region staffs the showroom you walk into for chemicals and water testing.
“A team member spent an hour explaining exactly how each chemical worked. Incredible support even months after the sale.”

A typical residential routine uses four product types: a sanitizer (usually bromine for hot tubs), pH and alkalinity balancers, a weekly shock or oxidizer, and a filter cleaner. Specialty treatments (clarifier, foam reducer, metal sequestrant) are added only when a specific issue shows up. Bring a water sample to our Hamilton showroom for a free in-store test and we will tell you exactly what your tub needs.
Yes. We carry bromine tablets and granules at our showroom, alongside the bromine feeders, dispensers, and starter kits that pair with them. Bromine is generally preferred for hot tubs because it stays stable at hot tub operating temperatures and remains effective across a wider pH range than chlorine.
Yes. We stock chlorine granules and both chlorine (dichlor) shock and non-chlorine MPS shock. Hot tub shock is what you reach for after heavy bather load, after a party, or any time the water looks tired between drain-and-refills.
Yes. Filter spray cleaner is the weekly product, filter soak solution is the deeper quarterly clean, and replacement cartridges are stocked for the brands we sell most often. If your filter pleats are compressed, frayed, or no longer responding to a soak, replacement is the right call rather than another clean.
Yes. Free in-store water testing is available any time we are open. Bring 500 ml of water in any clean container. We run a multi-panel test (pH, total alkalinity, sanitizer level, calcium hardness, and stabilizer where relevant), print the results, and recommend what to add and in what order. No appointment required.
A minimum of two to three times per week, more frequently during heavy use periods or after parties. The gold standard is to test before every soak. Test strips take about 60 seconds. Free in-store testing is a good monthly check-in to catch drift the strips might miss.
Both options work. If you are comfortable testing weekly and following a routine, buying supplies from us and dropping by for free water testing is the simplest path. If you would rather have someone else handle it, our maintenance service does the full visit (test, balance, filter care, equipment-bay check). Many customers do a mix: chemicals from us for the routine, professional service for the seasonal jobs.
Yes. Cloudy water usually traces to one of four causes: low sanitizer, pH imbalance, high calcium hardness, or a clogged filter. Bring a 500 ml sample to our showroom for free testing and we will pinpoint the cause and send you home with the right treatment. Most cases clear in 24 to 48 hours once the right product is in.
Chemical delivery is available on qualifying orders for Hamilton-area customers. Call ahead to confirm what is in stock and to schedule a delivery window. Most customers prefer the showroom drop-in because the free water test comes with the visit.
A 500 ml water sample drawn from elbow-depth, not from the surface. Any clean container works. Bring a list of what you have already added since your last test if anything is unusual. We test, print, and walk you through the recommendation in a few minutes.
