How much does it actually cost to run each month in Ontario?

About $25-40/month in electricity for a standard 240V model at Hamilton Hydro rates. Plug-and-play models cost as little as $15/month. Add $20-30/month for chemicals. Total monthly cost is typically less than your Netflix, Spotify, and Disney+ combined. We'll show you the real numbers in the showroom.

Can I actually try one before I buy?

Yes - always. We offer free 30-minute Wet Tests at our Hamilton showroom. Bring your swimsuit (we have towels). Sit in the seats, feel every jet, test different models side by side. We won't let you buy a tub you haven't sat in.

How much work is maintenance, really?

About 15 minutes a week. You test the water with a strip, adjust chemicals if needed, and rinse the filters once a month. We include free Spa School with every purchase - we come to your backyard, set everything up, and show you the full routine in person. Most owners are totally comfortable within one session.

Will it really survive a Hamilton winter?

Yes - absolutely. Three of our four brands are Canadian-made and specifically engineered for -40°C. Heavy foam insulation, freeze-protection systems, and lockable covers keep your tub running and efficient all winter. Many of our customers say February is their favourite month to be in it. Steam in the snow is something else.

What's included with delivery and setup?

Free delivery on a flatbed trailer, placement, accessories installation, first fill, and a full walkthrough of your tub. For local Hamilton & area customers, we also include free in-home Spa School. We coordinate the electrical if needed (extra cost), and crane access is available for tight spots. You do nothing except show us where you want it.

What happens if something breaks?

You call us, not a 1-800 number. Our Hamilton service team handles all warranty claims, repairs, cover replacements, and relocations directly. We're not a franchise - we're local, and we're here for the full duration of your warranty and beyond. That's something a big-box store can't offer.

What brands do you carry?

We carry Maple Spas (Canadian-made, Quebec), Platinum Spas (UK-engineered, up to 99 jets), Be Well Canada (therapeutic design, Canadian-made), and DreamMaker Spas (120V plug-and-play, no electrician required). Each brand serves a different buyer - we'll help you match the right one to your lifestyle.

What's the difference between DreamMaker and a standard 240V hot tub?

DreamMaker plugs into any standard 120V outdoor outlet - the same as your fridge. No licensed electrician, no building permit, no concrete pad required. Standard 240V hot tubs require a licensed electrician to hardwire a dedicated circuit (typically $400-800 extra). DreamMaker is the fastest and cheapest way to get in the water.

Is Maple Spas actually better for Hamilton winters than imported brands?

Maple Spas is manufactured in Quebec specifically for Canadian winters, with full-foam insulation rated to -40°C and freeze-protection systems. While premium European brands like Platinum Spas are also winter-capable, Maple Spas carries a 15-year shell warranty and the Gecko control system used by Canadian spas for decades. It's our most recommended brand for year-round Hamilton use.

How often do I need to drain and refill my hot tub?

Every 3-4 months for a standard hot tub used by 2-4 people regularly. You'll get a full draining and refill protocol at Spa School. The formula is: gallons / (bathers per day x 12). Most Hamilton-area customers drain in spring and fall when outdoor hose connections are available.

Do I need a special electrical circuit for a 240V hot tub?

Yes - a dedicated GFCI-protected 240V circuit sized to your tub (usually 40-60 amps depending on the model). A licensed electrician must install it. Cost in Hamilton typically runs $400-800 depending on distance from your panel. We can recommend local electricians we trust. DreamMaker models skip this entirely by using a standard 120V outlet.
