Every trade-in valuation comes back to these six inputs. We tell you exactly which of them helped your number and which hurt it, so you understand the answer.
Tubs under 5 years carry the strongest credit. 5–10 years is mid-range. 10+ depends heavily on condition.
Premium brands (Maple, Platinum, Hot Spring, Sundance, Jacuzzi) hold value. Big-box brands carry less.
A tub that runs and holds heat is worth significantly more than one that does not. Even partial function helps.
Crack-free shells and intact cabinets pull strong credit. Heavy fading or damage reduces value but does not eliminate it.
Cover, lifter, steps, ozone unit, salt system - bundled accessories add credit. Missing a cover does not disqualify you.
Some models resell faster than others. A 6-person plug-and-play in good shape moves quickly; a niche 2-person less so.

On paper a Kijiji or Facebook Marketplace sale looks like the higher-yield path - list it, name your price, take the cash.
